Advanced degree in Human Nutrition, Public Health, Epidemiology, or a closely related biomedical field.
Availability to support the execution of the work in the next 8 months.
Competence in coordinating with the MoH Division of Nutrition and managing complex institutional matrices to secure formal policy and roadmap adoption.
Proven experience designing and executing cross-sectional epidemiological surveys.
Deep technical understanding of Iodine Deficiency Disorders (IDDs), WHO thresholds and laboratory protocols.
Proven ability to navigate regulatory boards to secure human-tissue ethical clearance and official research authorization from NACOSTI.
Expertise in mixed-methods analysis, including legislative reviews of national frameworks and conducting resource/workflow capacity audits.
Demonstrated capacity to manage strict temperature-controlled logistics for biological samples from remote counties.
Experience in the timely procurement and distribution of critical field commodities.
Advanced capability in translating raw epidemiological data into high-level assessment and synthesis reports and data-driven visual policy briefs.
Demonstrated experience of working in Kenya and familiarity with the 47 counties within Kenya, Kiswahili national language and English official language.
Familiarity with National and County Government systems.
Familiarity with devolved governance structures.
Familiarity with Education, Nutrition, health, and social protection sectors.
