Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications or a closely related field from a recognised institution.
Professional-level enterprise networking certification such as Cisco CCNP/CCIE or equivalent, demonstrating advanced routing, switching and WAN competence.
Professional certification accreditation in network/infrastructure security, including next-generation firewall technologies, such as Cisco Security/Firepower, Fortinet, Check Point, Palo Alto or equivalent.
Professional certification accreditation in Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and/or Identity and Access Management.
Professional certification accreditation in Application Delivery / Load Balancing technologies.
Professional certification accreditation in Virtualisation / Storage Technologies.
Certification in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Management aligned to ISO 27031, ISO 22301 or an equivalent recognised framework.
Demonstrable working knowledge and practical experience in IT Service Management, technology governance, audit and risk controls, including exposure to ISO/IEC 20000-1, ITIL or an equivalent service-management framework.
Professional certification or formal training in leadership, executive coaching, people management, project/programme management or an equivalent management discipline is an added advantage.
Additional professional training/certification in Data Centre management/design, cloud infrastructure, enterprise storage/virtualisation or related critical-infrastructure technologies is an added advantage.
Formal vendor/OEM training or demonstrable operational experience supporting payment systems, money-transfer, transaction-processing, core-banking or other high-availability financial-technology platforms is an added advantage.
Years and Nature of Experience
At least ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in Enterprise IT infrastructure and network management within a large-scale regulated financial institution or similarly mission-critical environment, including at least five (5) years in a senior technical leadership or people-management role.
At least ten (10) years of hands-on and management experience in Data Centre and enterprise network operations, with demonstrable exposure to LAN/WAN/MPLS/SD-WAN, Internet/BGP, network security, application delivery/load balancing, infrastructure monitoring, virtualization/storage and high-availability connectivity.
Demonstrated leadership of at least two (2) major, enterprise-scale IT infrastructure transformation programmes, comprising: at least one (1) Data Centre transformation programme involving design, build/upgrade, migration, commissioning or major infrastructure modernisation; and at least one (1) Enterprise network transformation programme involving LAN/WAN, MPLS/SD-WAN, routing, Internet/BGP, network security, application delivery, enterprise connectivity or related critical infrastructure.
The candidate must demonstrate substantive leadership across the programme lifecycle, with responsibility for coordinating or leading key stages including requirements definition, solution design, procurement/tendering, implementation, testing, commissioning, acceptance and transition to operational support.
Verifiable documentary evidence must be provided for each of the two (2) qualifying transformation programmes. Acceptable evidence may include project appointment or nomination letters, approved project charters, project completion/acceptance or commissioning records, employer confirmation letters, signed project reports, committee records, appropriately redacted procurement/project documentation, or other verifiable official evidence demonstrating the candidate's role.
Confidential or commercially sensitive information may be appropriately redacted, provided the evidence remains sufficient to verify the candidate's leadership role, project scope and level of responsibility. Training certificates or evidence of general participation, without proof of substantive leadership responsibility, shall not on their own satisfy this requirement.
Proven responsibility for 24x7 mission-critical infrastructure, including major-incident leadership, DR/BCP testing, capacity planning, vendor/OEM and SLA management, audits/compliance, executive reporting and measurable service improvement.
Experience supporting infrastructure for high-value banking, payment, money-transfer or other transaction-processing services is an added advantage.
