Possess a valid Kenya Revenue Authority PIN certificate.
Be between 27 and 36 years old.
Have no criminal record.
Be medically fit.
Be prepared to undergo nine months of NYS paramilitary training at the NYS Training College if selected.
Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
A bachelor's degree in Sacred Theology, Christian Philosophy, Pastoral Theology, Theology, Theology and Bible, Divinity, Islamic Studies, Arabic Studies (Jaami'iyah), or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institution.
At least three years of relevant work experience as a serving Senior Catechist, Anglican minister or pastor of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, as applicable.
A certificate of ordination.
A practising licence issued by the Government.
A recommendation letter from the head of the applicant's church or mosque.
Proficiency in computer applications.
The applicant's church or mosque must fall under one of the following recognised umbrella organisations: Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops; National Council of Churches of Kenya; Evangelical Fellowship of Churches in Kenya; East/West Africa Union of the Seventh-day Adventist Church; Supreme Council of Kenya Muslims.
