Royal Canaan Nairobi Hotel is seeking for a Female dynamic, experienced and strategic Human Resource Manager to lead and oversee all Human Resource functions. The successful candidate will provide strategic and operational leadership for the organization's people function, ensuring the effective management of talent, performance, employee engagement, compliance and organizational culture.
What you will do
Lead end-to-end recruitment, onboarding and workforce planning processes.
Develop and implement HR policies, procedures and best practices in compliance with labour laws.
Monitor employee engagement, morale, absenteeism, turnover and retention strategies.
Ensure timely performance appraisals and support employee development planning.
Coordinate staff wellness, health and safety, workers' compensation and employee assistance initiatives.
Manage HR administration, employee records, HRIS, recruitment systems and confidential personnel documentation.
Partner with departmental heads to ensure appropriate staffing levels and workforce productivity.
Organize employee engagement activities, recognition programs and staff events.
Prepare HR reports, statutory submissions and management reports as required.
Provide strategic HR guidance and coaching to managers on people management and organizational development.
What you bring
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management.
Registered member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) with a valid practicing certificate.
Minimum 3 years' experience as a Human Resource Manager in a 4-star or 5-star hotel or a comparable hospitality environment.
Strong knowledge of Kenyan labour laws, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits and statutory compliance.
Hands-on experience with HRIS, payroll systems, Applicant Tracking System, online recruitment resources and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, coaching and problem-solving skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively in a multicultural and fast-paced environment.
