Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Policy Research, Development Studies, Engineering, Environmental Science, Political Science, Public Policy, or a related field.
2-5 years of relevant work experience in international development, research and evaluation, data analytics, consulting, or program management.
Strong analytical skills with exposure (via professional work or academic coursework) to econometrics, data, research analysis tools, and quantitative and qualitative research processes.
Strong writing skills with the ability to translate technical jargon into well-structured, policy-oriented deliverables.
Ability to understand complex concepts quickly even with limited prior knowledge, with a willingness to invest in learning new concepts, skills, and methods.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with local context as well as working proficiency in local language(s) of the country of placement (Swahili or indigenous languages of Zambia).
Prior professional or internship experience in East Africa or Southern Africa conducting research, program evaluation, or development work.
