Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery or equivalent medical degree from an institution recognized by the Government.
Postgraduate Master's Degree or equivalent specialist fellowship qualification in a relevant clinical specialty for specialist consultants, or a recognized GP qualification for general consultants.
Valid and current registration and active specialist or general practicing license with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
Minimum 3–5 years' clinical experience preferred.
Experience in private practice setups or hospital outpatient environments is an added advantage.
Strong clinical diagnostic, case management, and analytical problem-solving skills.
Ability to make independent medical decisions with professional accountability and ethics.
Excellent interpersonal and empathetic communication skills.
Ability to explain medical diagnoses, treatment options, and treatment costs clearly and compassionately.
Strong understanding of medical coding, benefit limits, pre-authorization workflows, and claims processing for SHA/NHIF and private insurers.
Practical ability to work within structured private facility environments and Electronic Health Records systems.
Strong collaboration skills across diagnostics, nursing, pharmacy, billing, and administration teams.
