What you bring
At least a minimum of fifteen (15) years' work experience five (5) of which must have been in a management position
Bachelor's Degree in any of the following: Maritime Transport and Logistics, International Freight Management, Maritime Law and Policy, Shipping Management and Logistics, Port Management, Clearing and Forwarding, Maritime/Business Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution
Master's degree in any of the following: Maritime Transport and Logistics, International Freight Management, Maritime Law and Policy, Shipping Management and Logistics, Port Management, Clearing and Forwarding, Maritime/Business Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution
Leadership course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution
Qualifications in accordance with STCW 78 of the conventions amended, such as Certificate of Competence (CoC) Chief Engineer (III/2) or Master Mariner (II/2) and approval by Kenya Maritime Authority would be an added advantage
Understand the mandate of Academy and its role in realization of the National Development Agenda
Membership to a relevant professional body
Proficiency in Computer Applications
Fulfil the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution
