Relevant sea time / sea service experience will be an added advantage.
Approval by Kenya Maritime Authority would be an added advantage.
Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering from a University recognized in Kenya.
Officer in Charge of an Engineering Watch (OICEW) – Regulation III/1 Certificate of Competency (CoC); Second Engineer – Regulation III/3 (Limited to 750–3,000 kW) Certificate of Competency.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Fulfil the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
