Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders, including civil society organizations, law firms, and community partners.
Experience working or volunteering with a nonprofit organization, civil society organization, or pro bono initiative in East Africa is desirable.
Degree in Law is strongly preferred. Degrees in Political Science, International Relations, Social Sciences, or related disciplines will also be considered.
Up to two years of relevant professional experience. Recent graduates with strong internships or volunteer experience in public interest law, legal aid, or civil society are encouraged to apply.
Demonstrated interest in public interest law, civil society, civic space, or human rights.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote, multicultural environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
Must be based in East Africa to allow for real-time coordination and team check-ins.
