What you bring
Education
Master's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainable Development, Circular Economy, Business Administration, Enterprise Development or a related discipline.
Bachelor's degree combined with an additional three (3) years of highly relevant professional experience may be accepted in place of a Master's degree.
Professional Experience
Minimum seven (7) years of progressive experience designing and developing training curricula, particularly for MSMEs or enterprise-development programmes.
Technical Expertise
Strong understanding of Circular Economy principles.
Knowledge of green business models and waste management.
Understanding of plastics, organic waste and textile value chains.
Knowledge of Kenya's environmental and Circular Economy policy and regulatory environment.
Knowledge of SWMA 2022, EPR Regulations 2024, NEMA, KEBS and relevant green-economy policies.
Experience integrating Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) into training content and methodologies.
Proven ability to develop competency-based and practical training materials with clear learning objectives and assessment frameworks.
Experience in Training of Trainers (ToT) delivery and trainer support.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to produce high-quality reports and training materials in clear and accessible language.
Ability to deliver training in English and Kiswahili or work with appropriately qualified language/support personnel.
Experience delivering training to low-literacy populations is highly required.
Added Advantage
Experience working in Circular Economy, green growth, sustainability or waste-management sectors in Kenya or East Africa will be an added advantage.
Applicants may propose a lead consultant supported by appropriately qualified associates covering Circular Economy technical expertise, GESI, adult learning/facilitation and workshop support.
