Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Data Analytics, Finance or Business Administration.
Master's degree in a quantitative or business-related field is an added advantage.
Professional certifications in data analytics, project management or financial modelling are desirable, including certifications such as CFA, FRM, Tableau or Power BI.
Experience
3–5 years of total work experience in data analysis, business intelligence or market research.
At least 2 years of experience within financial services, development finance, fintech or the credit guarantee sector.
3–5 years of experience in business development support, market research, CRM management or sales operations.
Experience or exposure to the humanitarian or development sector is an added advantage.
Demonstrated experience building dashboards and reporting frameworks for tracking business growth or loan portfolio performance.
Experience working with cross-functional teams such as risk management, credit underwriting and institutional partnerships.
Technical Skills
Advanced SQL skills.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong Excel capabilities including pivot tables, lookups, charts and data analysis.
Basic proficiency in Python or R for predictive modelling.
Strong proficiency in data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, HubSpot or similar.
Strong research, information-gathering and data interpretation skills.
Understanding of credit risk metrics, SME financing gaps and portfolio default rates.
Ability to prepare a Credit Paper.
Ability to translate technical data insights into clear business information for non-technical stakeholders.
Language Requirement
Full professional proficiency in both English and French is required, as AGF operates across Anglophone and Francophone Africa.
