Post-secondary certificate in Food and Beverage Service, Hospitality, Catering, Hotel Management, or a related field.
Basic Food Hygiene or Food Safety training will be an advantage.
Knowledge of food and beverage service procedures, service standards, and etiquette.
Knowledge of customer-care principles, service etiquette, and professional conduct.
Knowledge of menu items, ingredients, accompaniments, and common dietary requirements.
Knowledge of food hygiene, safe food handling, and contamination prevention.
Knowledge of table preparation, order-taking, food and beverage service, clearing, and resetting procedures.
Knowledge of the safe use and care of trays, crockery, cutlery, glassware, and other service equipment.
Basic knowledge of bills, receipts, and payment procedures.
Basic knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.
Basic understanding of hospitality and Club food and beverage service operations.
One to two years of relevant experience in food and beverage service within a hotel, Club, restaurant, hospitality establishment, or similar environment.
