Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Film and Television Production, Multimedia, Media and Journalism, Communication, Photography or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years proven experience as a video editor, cameraman or videographer, preferably in a newsroom, media house, production company or communications agency.
A strong portfolio or showreel demonstrating filming and editing work.
Proficiency in professional video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator or similar motion graphics and design tools.
Hands-on experience operating professional cameras, lighting, audio and studio equipment.
Strong understanding of shot composition, lighting, sound, pacing and visual storytelling.
Experience producing content for social media and digital platforms, including vertical and short-form formats.
Experience producing awareness or campaign content for governmental or nongovernmental organizations will be an added advantage.
Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to field locations when required.
Good oral and written English skills.
Knowledge of Somali or other regional languages will be an added advantage.
