Professional Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Water Engineering, Civil Engineering, Wastewater Engineering, Chemistry, Water and Environmental Engineering, Soil and Water Engineering, or a related field from a recognized university.
Strong knowledge of Kenya's Water Act 2016, Water Regulations 2025, sector reforms and governance.
Relevant professional-body membership.
Core Requirements
Must be a Kenyan citizen.
Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in a comparable position with similar responsibilities.
Membership and good standing in a relevant professional body, such as an engineering professional body.
Must satisfy Chapter Six requirements on Leadership and Integrity.
Must provide a Certificate of Good Conduct.
Key Skills and Knowledge
Demonstrated leadership and strategic-planning ability.
Strong technical knowledge of water and wastewater management.
Familiarity with sector policies, including WASREB and WRA requirements.
Knowledge of donor-funded projects.
Digital literacy and competency in management-information systems.
Excellent oral, written and report-writing skills.
