Cumulative six (6) years relevant work experience three (3) of which should have been at the level of Coxswain I or a comparable position
Lower grades typically require cumulative service period of six (6) years relevant work experience three (3) of which should have been at the level of Coxswain II or a comparable position
Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education Grade D or its equivalent
Coxswain I Certificate in accordance with Merchant Shipping Act and its regulations
Basic Safety Training Course (STCW)
Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats (other than fast Rescue Boats)
Proficiency in computer applications
