Bobu Africa is seeking to recruit a Reservations Intern to support reservations, booking coordination, itinerary preparation, customer service support, and communication with hotels, airlines, and service providers.
The role is suitable for a candidate with training in Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field, and at least 1 year of experience in reservations within a safari tour company or tour operations environment. The successful candidate should be organized, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and familiar with booking processes in the travel and tourism industry.
What you will do
Support the processing and confirmation of flight reservations, hotel bookings, activities, and related travel services.
Liaise with hotels, airlines, transport providers, activity providers, and other service partners to confirm availability and service details.
Assist in preparing and issuing hotel vouchers, itineraries, quotations, invoices, and booking confirmations to the sales team.
Support the sales team in creating itineraries based on client needs, travel dates, destinations, and service preferences.
Help ensure that all booking details are accurate before confirmation.
Follow up with service providers to support smooth delivery of confirmed reservations.
Address booking changes, cancellations, special requests, and emergency support under guidance.
Coordinate with Sales, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure bookings follow company processes.
Maintain updated digital and physical files for all reservations and related documents.
Track booking information, confirmations, supplier communication, and client-related travel documents.
Monitor service standards, gather feedback, and help identify areas for improvement.
Communicate professionally with internal teams and external service providers.
Support timely sharing of reservation updates with the relevant teams.
Perform any other reservations or operations support duties assigned by the supervisor.
What you bring
Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in reservations for a safari tour company or tour operations.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Familiarity with booking systems.
Good attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and handle several booking requests.
Customer-first approach.
Knowledge of East Africa destinations will be an added advantage.
Ability to work with hotels, airlines, service providers, and internal teams professionally.
