Diploma or Certificate in Paint Technology, Chemistry, Engineering, Industrial Chemistry or a related field.
Strong practical knowledge of paint applications, surface preparation, tools and finishing techniques.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
2–3 years of practical painting/application experience, preferably in paints, coatings, construction chemicals, building materials or related industry.
Practical knowledge of conventional and automated painting tools/equipment and their correct use.
Previous experience in painter training, product demonstrations or technical/customer support will be an added advantage.
Good product presentation, training and practical demonstration skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with painters, contractors, dealers, counter staff and sales teams.
Customer-focused, energetic, self-motivated and target-oriented.
Good relationship-building, market coverage and follow-up skills.
Ability to simplify product/application information for different audiences.
Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word and Excel).
Fluency in English and Kiswahili; additional regional languages will be an advantage.
Ability to work independently and as part of a sales team.
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Valid driving licence will be an added advantage.
