Essential university Degree in a computer related field.
Certification in network or server administration would be an asset.
Experience
Preferably 5 years of proven experience in IT or technical functions
At least 2 years of experience in information management within humanitarian or protection programmes or IT management
Languages
Fluent English (written and spoken) & Swahili
IT Knowledge
Expertise in latest version of Microsoft Operating System and business applications (Office365 environment). Understanding & use of SharePoint is an added advantage.
Understanding of Server Management (latest version of Microsoft Operating System, Active Directory) and virtualization (Hyper-V)
Good knowledge in Network Administration (LAN, VLAN, network policies and protocols)
Knowledge and understanding of File server administration.
Knowledge and understanding of Fortinet equipment is an added advantage.
Good knowledge of point to point and point multipoint network architecture.
Good knowledge of computer hardware and maintenance processes, IT security, best practices and IT service management tools (ITSM)
Good understanding knowledge of radio telecommunication concept (HF, VHF, GSM, Satellite)
