Valid Kenyan Driving Licence with Class D endorsement – mandatory.
Minimum 3 years' proven professional driving experience, preferably in a hotel, hospitality, tourism, corporate or executive transport environment.
Previous experience driving hotel guests, tourists, expatriates or corporate clients will be a strong advantage.
Excellent knowledge of Nairobi and its surrounding areas.
Strong knowledge of major Nairobi tourist attractions, including: Nairobi National Park, Giraffe Centre, Karen Blixen Museum, Bomas of Kenya, Nairobi National Museum, Nairobi Safari Walk, Karura Forest, Karen and Lang'ata areas, and major shopping malls and entertainment destinations.
Good knowledge of major hotels, airports, business districts and key residential areas in Nairobi.
Ability to confidently navigate Nairobi using Google Maps and other navigation applications.
Strong knowledge of alternative routes and ability to navigate Nairobi traffic efficiently.
Proven defensive driving skills and strong road-safety awareness.
Clean and responsible driving record.
Good understanding of basic vehicle maintenance and daily vehicle checks.
Ability to identify and promptly report basic mechanical or safety issues.
Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Fluent in English; knowledge of Kiswahili is essential.
Ability to communicate confidently and respectfully with both local and international guests.
Strong customer service orientation and a welcoming personality.
Professional appearance, excellent grooming and good personal hygiene.
High level of integrity, honesty, discretion and confidentiality.
Reliable, punctual and responsible.
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure, including during heavy traffic or unexpected situations.
Physically fit and able to assist guests with luggage.
Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
Willingness to work extended hours when guest schedules require it.
Basic computer and smartphone skills.
First Aid/Basic Life Support training will be an added advantage.
Experience with executive vehicles, luxury vehicles or high-end hospitality transportation will be an added advantage.
