Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, business management or a related field.
Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (CPA-K) qualification or equivalent professional accounting certification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA).
Minimum five years demonstrated experience or more in a similar position working for an INGO.
Strong knowledge of Kenyan statutory and tax requirements, including PAYE, VAT, Withholding Tax, NSSF, SHIF/SHA, and other regulatory obligations.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
Advanced knowledge and demonstrated experience in Excel.
Track record and experience with donor frameworks such as NORAD, US, FCDO, EU, UN agencies or other institutional donors.
Experience with financial management systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Navision or similar enterprise accounting software.
Flexibility and ability to work under pressure and meet conflicting tight deadlines.
Ability to communicate to a wide range of stakeholders including technical financial matters to individuals not versed in financial management.
Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational skills, including ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and to effectively problem solve and troubleshoot.
