First pathway: Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade of at least D+ (Plus) or its equivalent; Valid driving licence, at least class BCE, free from any endorsement; P.S.V. licence for bus and minibus drivers; At least nine (9) years' driving experience; Certificate of Good Conduct; Occupational/Motor Vehicle Mechanic Trade Test II; Defensive driving and professional tests qualifications; Computer literacy; Basic certificate in First Aid and Occupational Health and Safety.
OR Second pathway: Diploma or Craft I/Technician I certificate in Automotive Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized institution; At least three (3) years' relevant work experience in a busy workshop; Computer literacy; Basic certificate in First Aid and Occupational Health and Safety.
