Cumulative fifteen (15) years' relevant work experience, three (3) of which should have been at the grade of Deputy Director or in a comparable position.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences or a related field from a recognized institution.
Master's degree in Physical Sciences, Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution.
Certificate in a Leadership Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution.
Membership of a relevant professional body or society, where applicable and in good standing.
A valid practicing license, where applicable.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Demonstrated managerial, administrative and professional competence in work performance and results.
Demonstrable knowledge of corporate governance, leadership and strategic management.
Sound knowledge of energy and nuclear research, innovation, technology development and research programme management.
Demonstrable understanding of the Nuclear Research Reactor Programme.
Demonstrable ability to establish strategic partnerships and mobilize resources for research.
Demonstrable understanding of public service values and principles.
