Cumulative service period of fifteen (15) years relevant work experience, three (3) of which must have been at the grade of Assistant Director, Placement and Industry Linkages or in any comparable position.
Bachelor's degree in any of the following fields: Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, Maritime Logistics, Education, Development Studies, Marketing, Communication, International Relations or Qualifications in accordance with STCW 78 of the conventions amended, such as Certificates of Competence (CoC), Chief Engineer or Master Mariner (II/2 or III/2).
Master's Degree in any of the following fields: Maritime Logistics, Education, Development Studies, Marketing, Communication, International Relations or equivalent qualifications.
Qualifications in accordance with STCW 78 of the conventions amended i.e. Certificate of Competence (CoC), Chief Engineer or Master Mariner (II/2 or III/2) would be an added advantage.

Leadership course lasting not less than 4 weeks from a recognized institution.
