Be a citizen of Kenya.
Have proven experience in urban planning in either the public or private sector for a minimum period of three years.
Hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Built Environment, Environment, Social Sciences, Management, Project Management, Public Health or a related field from a university recognized in Kenya.
Hold a postgraduate qualification in Engineering, Architecture, Built Environment, Environment, Social Sciences, Management, Project Management, Public Health or a related field from a university recognized in Kenya, or an equivalent qualification.
Be a member of a relevant professional association or body and be in good standing.
Have undertaken a leadership course lasting not less than four weeks or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
Have worked and resided in Kisumu County for at least five years.
Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.
