- Minimum of Trade test 1 in carpentry and joinery or woodwork course, with three years working experience.
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
- Be able to perform carpentry work on new projects or refurbishments, in residential buildings, workshops, stores or outdoors.
- Working with power or manual tools within a specific area, each with specific components and discrete tasks.
- Be aware of occupational hazards and utilise standard safety practices.
- Be able to risk assess and mitigate as low as required when performing heavy manual works or working in unfavourable conditions.
- Ability to respond to emergencies on a 24-hour basis.
