Bachelor's degree in Cooperative Management, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
CPA (K) or an equivalent professional qualification.
Minimum 3–5 years of progressive hands-on experience in SACCO operations, BOSA, credit administration, loan recovery, financial management or related role within a SACCO or microfinance institution.
Demonstrated experience in managing loan portfolios, credit appraisal, loan recovery and member services.
Experience working with SACCO Core Banking Systems / ERP tools (e.g. NAVCentral or similar systems).
Strong proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting tools.
Strong understanding of the Co-operative Societies Act, SASRA requirements and other applicable regulatory frameworks.
High level of integrity, accountability and a strong commitment to member service.
A genuine appreciation of grassroots women's economic empowerment and financial inclusion.
Ability to work respectfully and effectively with grassroots women members and member-led SACCO leadership.
Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship-management skills.
Strong analytical skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to manage debt recovery and financial operations independently.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and consistently meet tight deadlines.
Availability: The successful candidate will be expected to be available immediately or within a short period that allows for adequate handover and onboarding.
