Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
CPA(K), ACCA or equivalent professional accounting qualification (fully or substantially qualified).
At least 3–5 years' hands-on accounting experience, ideally in retail, e-commerce or multi-location/multi-channel businesses.
Demonstrated experience with inventory/COGS accounting, landed-cost allocation and margin analysis.
Experience managing statutory compliance in Kenya (VAT, PAYE, NSSF, SHIF, Affordable Housing Levy, NITA training levy, WHT) and working with KRA iTax/eTIMS.
Experience preparing management accounts and cash-flow forecasts and presenting them to senior management.
Working knowledge of Shopify/POS systems and accounting packages, with strong Excel/Google Sheets skills.
High personal integrity and reliability in handling cash, stock value and confidential financial information.
Strong attention to detail balanced with the ability to see and communicate the bigger commercial picture.
Analytical and proactive: interprets numbers rather than simply reporting them, and flags risks before they escalate.
Well organised, with the discipline to document processes so the finance function does not depend on one person.
Clear, confident communicator, comfortable working closely with Operations and reporting directly to the Director.
Able to work independently while respecting the separation of duties required in a small finance team.
