Employee Relations Expertise: Proven experience handling disciplinary cases, investigations, performance improvement plans (PIPs), and workplace grievances with fairness and consistency
Knowledge of Kenyan Labour Law: Strong working knowledge of the Employment Act, 2007 and ability to apply it in real workplace scenarios
Stakeholder Management: Ability to advise and coach managers on employee relations matters, performance management, and policy interpretation
Investigation & Analytical Skills: Skilled in gathering evidence, conducting interviews, and preparing clear, well-structured reports
Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to handle sensitive and high-stakes conversations professionally
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in documentation, record-keeping, and compliance tracking
Integrity & Confidentiality: Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and sound judgment
Technical Proficiency: Proficient with G-Suite and HRIS platforms; demonstrated success in process automation and navigating emerging technologies
AI Literacy: Familiarity with LLMs, conversational AI, prompt engineering, and agentic AI concepts to help modernize HR workflows
Mindset: Forward-thinking, curious, and confident in a fast-paced environment; someone who uses their own initiative to drive practical execution
Academic and Professional Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or related field required
CHRP(K) certification
5–8+ years in HR, with at least 3 years focused on Employee Relations or HR Operations
Nice To Have Skills (Preferred)
Experience in a global or matrix organization
Familiarity with HR systems
Exposure to performance management and employee engagement initiatives
