Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Petroleum or Process Engineering (or equivalent).
0–2 years' relevant experience; internships, industrial placements or thesis work in processing/plant operations advantageous.
Technical Skills & Knowledge
Basic understanding of oil separation, phase behaviour, emulsion handling, level and pressure control, and heat transfer fundamentals.
Familiarity with P&IDs, process flow diagrams, control loops and basic instrumentation.
Awareness of process safety principles, permit-to-work systems and emergency response requirements.
Competence with Excel for data logging and basic analysis; willingness to learn SCADA and CMMS systems.
Basic knowledge of sampling/testing methods (BS&W, water cut, density) desirable.
Behavioural & Interpersonal Skills
Strong safety focus, methodical approach and attention to detail.
Good communication skills for effective handovers and coordination with operations and maintenance teams.
Eager learner, proactive, reliable and able to work in multidisciplinary teams.
Able to remain calm under pressure and follow procedures during abnormal events.
Experience & Conditions
Willingness to live in camp conditions on rotational roster and undertake regular field rotations; ability to work extended hours for critical operations.
Physically able to access plant areas and perform inspections in varied environmental conditions.
Desirable
Basic certifications: First Aid, H2S, Working at Heights, Permit-to-Work awareness.
Training or exposure to multiphase flow, separation equipment or process simulation (HYSYS, Excel modelling).
Prior field placement or internship in processing/plant operations.
