Be a holder of a Bachelor's degree from a university recognised in Kenya in any of the following: Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, or equivalent qualifications, with 5 years' experience in a busy senior engineering position;
Have advanced-level proficiency in managerial skills — planning, organising, controlling, directing and coordinating;
Be well-versed with water sector reforms and operations in Kenya; possess competency in management information systems relevant to the water sector;
Have demonstrated high leadership and management capability; possess excellent communication skills;
Fulfil the leadership and integrity criteria under Chapter Six of the Constitution by attaching the following documents (none older than 12 months at the date of submission): Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI); Clearance Certificate from an accredited Credit Reference Bureau (CRB); Clearance Certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB); Valid Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA); Clearance Certificate from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
