Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
5+ years of experience building software professionally, ideally with exposure to ERP or business systems
Java development experience - this is the primary language for Sage Intacct customisations
Strong experience with API integrations - specifically REST APIs and XML-based APIs. The Sage Intacct native API is XML - reading, writing, and debugging XML request/response structures is a core part of this role
Understanding of financial data structures in an API context - GL entries, AR/AP transactions, project dimensions, chart of accounts hierarchies
Experience shipping AI or LLM-powered tools in a production environment - not just experimentation
Financial curiosity - you do not need to be an accountant, but you need to care about understanding the business logic behind what you build
End-to-end ownership - you write the code, test it, deploy it, and take responsibility for how it performs
Interest in the construction industry and how project-based businesses manage their finances
Experience working with or for international or multinational organisations is a strong advantage
