A degree in communications, journalism, marketing, digital media or a related field or equivalent professional experience.
At least 5 years of experience in social media and digital content.
A strong portfolio or showreel of multimedia content you have personally created (video, motion graphics, photography and design).
Hands-on skills in editing and graphic-design tools (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, CapCut).
Experience with social media management, scheduling and analytics tools (e.g. Meta Business Suite, Sprout Social, Hootsuite).
Excellent writing and storytelling skills, with strong attention to brand, accuracy and detail.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in financial and corporate communications.
Experience running corporate or institutional social channels (not only consumer or brand social), with prior experience supporting major campaigns, launches or milestones.
Familiarity with website content management (e.g. WordPress) and a working knowledge of SEO.
Responsible use of AI-assisted content tools.
A good understanding of the Kenyan and East African social and media landscape.
Retail, FMCG or consumer-facing experience.
