A postgraduate university degree in Social or Natural Sciences or another relevant discipline, preferably with a specialisation in gender and project cycle management.
A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in gender equality analysis and gender mainstreaming.
Formal training in gender analysis and gender planning, with demonstrated expertise in mainstreaming gender in projects and programmes, especially in a relevant sector (electronics, building and construction, or automotive in Africa, and expertise in the plastics sector).
A thorough understanding of the gender context in Africa, and experience working with government institutions and international and/or non-governmental organisations supporting gender.
Familiarity with gender analysis tools and methodologies (especially in electronics, building and construction, automotive or plastics).
Knowledge of circular economy business models as they apply to the gender sector.
The ability to liaise with various stakeholders, including government officials.
Leadership, strong interpersonal and team-building skills, and the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
Strong analytical skills, availability for project management duties, and excellent written and verbal communication.
