2–3 years of community management experience (online or offline: Discord/FB groups/forums, co-working spaces, student communities, etc.)
Strong written communication skills for large group engagement
Experience managing or participating in online communities (preferably Discord), including moderation and basic tooling
Proven ability to handle high-volume communication, prioritize effectively, and stay organized
Willingness to work weekends and align to 9am–5pm EST hours; ability to acknowledge and triage technical questions
Technical: Discord administration/moderation basics; Google Workspace; social/community platforms (forums, X); comfort with internal tracking tools for feedback and comms; event coordination
Soft skills: Empathetic, approachable, and friendly communicator; crisp writing and summarization; strong ownership and follow-through; de-escalation and conflict handling; process-minded with excellent organization and prioritization; comfortable in fast-paced, evolving environments
Nice-to-have: Customer support experience
Nice-to-have: Familiarity with developer/technical communities
Nice-to-have: Basic understanding of AI tools/datasets/building with AI
