At least two years full-time work experience as an Assistant Editor in a reputable publishing firm, a university press or media house;
Bachelor's degree in Communications (with specialization in Print Media or Publishing) from a recognized University of at least an Upper Second Class;
Demonstrated experience of working with authors on manuscript evaluation;
Excellent proof reading and copy editing skills;
Experience in writing for and editing newsletters, speeches, annual reports, magazines, press releases and promotional materials (e.g. brochures, banners, supplements);
Strong aptitude for desk and library research
